Sacramental Program

At Corpus Christi, the Sacraments are an important part of our Catholic faith and the life of our school community. Through the Sacramental Program, we support students and their families as they prepare to celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation, deepening their relationship with God and the Church community. These Sacraments are a key part of the faith journey of every Catholic.

We believe that the preparation for these special moments is most meaningful when school, family and parish work together. Parents are the first educators in the faith of their children, and our role as a Catholic school is to support families and partner with the parish in guiding students through this important stage of their spiritual development.

At Corpus Christi, students are typically invited to celebrate the Sacraments during the following year levels:

  • Year 3 – Sacrament of Reconciliation
  • Year 4 – First Eucharist (First Holy Communion)
  • Year 6 – Sacrament of Confirmation

Preparation for each Sacrament takes place through classroom learning, prayer and reflection within our Religious Education program. Students explore the meaning of the Sacrament, its connection to the life of Jesus Christ and how it strengthens their relationship with God and others.

Families are also invited to be actively involved in the preparation process. This usually includes:

  • Parent and family information evenings or workshops
  • Prayer and reflection activities at home
  • Celebrating the Sacrament together with our parish community

The Sacraments are celebrated in partnership with St Andrew’s Parish Werribee, where students gather with family and parish community to celebrate these significant moments of faith.

Through the Sacramental Program, we hope that students not only prepare for the celebration of the Sacraments but also grow in their understanding of faith, community and their place within the Church.
